“What seems ordinary can be extraordinary—EXIT. A reminder that as long as we are free, healthy, and willing, we hold the ability to decide. The journey is ours to ignite.”
Each EXIT sign is more than an instruction; it is a fragment of a parallel reality, one that exists beyond the constructs of the everyday. His photography doesn’t ask for interpretation—it simply exists, just as the signs do, waiting to be noticed.
The essence of EXITART is rooted in change, trust, and the belief that EXIT as an option sets us on a transformative journey.

EXIT ART
The Art of LivingA movement. A mindset. A visual philosophy.
Born from Instinct
EXIT, the project that begun as a personal ritual. While directing global film and television, Florian Reinhardt found himself repeatedly photographing EXIT signs—without planning, without concept—just a compulsion reset his mind, and to move forward.
A Sign Becomes a Statement
With over 1,024 photographs captured across the globe, EXIT evolved into a body of work rooted in choice, change, and presence. Each sign is a visual interruption—an invitation to question where we are and where we’re going. The sign became a symbol for freedom, direction, a moment of decision.
What began unconsciously is now a movement of conscious living:
“As long as we are free, healthy, and willing—we hold the ability to decide.”
The Artist’s Vision
Florian Reinhardt doesn’t stage or manipulate. He captures what’s already there—but overlooked. His work transforms the industrial EXIT sign into a mirror for self determination. It is not conceptual photography. It is a document of awareness, an act of noticing, of choosing, of exiting one space to enter another.
International Recognition
The EXIT series has been exhibited in leading galleries such as THK Gallery, Till Breckner Gallery, NOTAGALLERY, and Buchkunst Berlin, and at major fairs including Art Miami and Art New York, represented by Rudolf Budja Gallery.
In 2024, Reinhardt was selected by Space Blue as one of 222 artists to make history. His work now sits on the moon as part of the Lunaprise Museum.
His art book, published by Hatje Cantz, received the Kodak Fotobuchpreis and features interviews with the artist and gallerist. Media coverage includes FAZ, Sleek Magazine, Tagesspiegel, Deutschlandfunk, ARD, and ARTE.
Beyond the Wall
EXIT ART NYC works closely with collectors, institutions, and design partners to place EXIT where it creates dialogue: in homes, public spaces, museums, and retail environments.
The mission is simple:
To create encounters. To reframe the ordinary. To offer a choice.
