In Kitzbühel, nature itself becomes the EXIT — a deliberate pause where presence returns.

Kitzbühel Country Club introduces Florian Reinhardt

The Kitzbühel Country Club presents a one-of-a-kind exhibition introducing the work of Florian Reinhardt, on view from February 27 through April 30, 2026. Set within the alpine landscape of Kitzbühel, the exhibition situates Reinhardt’s work in an environment where nature itself becomes the EXIT — offering distance from daily noise and proximity to clarity.

Florian Reinhardt is an artist and filmmaker whose ongoing EXIT series reframes the ubiquitous emergency exit sign as a poetic symbol of presence, choice, and renewal. Captured over more than a decade across cities and transitional spaces worldwide, the photographs transform a functional sign into a universal language of freedom, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on moments of inner and outer change.

Central to the exhibition is the video installation Hope (2023), one of the artist’s most significant works. Presented as a visual and sonic composition, the piece guides visitors into a heightened state of perception as they move through the space. Hope directly addresses themes of freedom and human dignity, ultimately speaking to those who do not have access to an EXIT — those who are not free to choose.

What emerges is more than an exhibition; it is a community experience. Surrounded by heritage, lineage, and a strong sense of belonging, the Country Club becomes an EXIT within the EXIT — a place of continuity and care, where individuals gather as a collective force toward a more conscious present.

The exhibition comprises 25 artworks installed throughout the building. All works are produced in strictly limited editions of three and remain on view independently of the vernissage program.
