“What seems ordinary can be extraordinary—EXIT. A reminder that as long as we are free, healthy, and willing, we hold the ability to decide. The journey is ours to ignite.”
Each EXIT sign is more than an instruction; it is a fragment of a parallel reality, one that exists beyond the constructs of the everyday. His photography doesn’t ask for interpretation—it simply exists, just as the signs do, waiting to be noticed.
The essence of EXITART is rooted in change, trust, and the belief that EXIT as an option sets us on a transformative journey.

A Compulsion to Capture, A Need to Move
EXIT ART NYC is not just about photography—it is about survival. What began as an instinctive, almost compulsive act of documenting exit signs became a way for Florian Reinhardt to navigate life itself. The EXIT series is not a conceptual project; it was never planned. It was an urge—an unconscious ritual—born out of the need to move forward. With every snapshot, Florian carved out a pathway, a reminder that there is always a way out, always a transition, always a next step.
A Parallel Path Through Life
Florian Reinhardt’s work is a testament to the way he perceives the world—a world layered with hidden signals, unspoken directions, and silent invitations to self-determination. EXIT embraces change not as an obligation, but as an opportunity.

From Impulse to Art
Over time, this personal archive of images has transcended its origins, evolving into a striking artistic statement. Exhibited across international galleries and institutions, including THK Gallery, Till Breckner Gallery, NOTAGALLERY, Buchkunst Berlin, and important trade fairs like Art Miami and Art New York under the representation of Rudolf Budja Gallery, the EXIT series has found resonance in spaces where the tension between presence and departure lingers. The bold, graphic nature of the images makes them both timeless and deeply personal, speaking to the universal experience of seeking, finding, and letting go. His international recognition has positioned Florian Reinhardt as one of the 222 artists selected by Space Blue to make history in the first quarter of 2024. His art piece now sits on the moon, at the Lunaprise Museum. The art book for the series, published by Hatje Cantz, won the Kodak Fotobuchpreis. Florian Reinhardt’s art debut received coverage in FAZ, Tagesspiegel, Sleek Magazine, Deutschlandfunk, ARD and Arte.
